Imagine the difference your gift can make. When you donate to the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing you help children, families, teens, adults and seniors explore their imagination in the pool, the classroom, on the court or exploring outdoors.

Each year the YMCA of Metropolitan Lansing reaches to to ask the community to make charitable contribution to address our most pressing needs. Your gift to the Y’s Annual Campaign will help make a real difference in the lives of kids and families that are being helped through scholarships camping programs, childcare services, feeding programs and program for chronic disease prevention.

Why does the Y have an annual campaign?

The Y’s financial assistance program is 100% funded by donations. Membership fees cover our facilities, salaries, etc. but do not fund our financial assistance programs. To make our programs and services available to all, we need the support of our members, staff, and the community in raising funds so that no one is turned away.

Why do we provide financial assistance and scholarships to those with demonstrated need?

We believe that people prefer to accept responsibility and pay full registration fees when they can afford them. But when financial difficulties stretch individual and family budgets too thin, the need for YMCA programs remains, and in some instances, may even be more crucial.
